INSTRUCTIONS

USB Parallel Converter #08305 to interface with Windows XP

Double check that you have all WindowsXP updates, service packs and security fixes.

Connect the parallel end of the cable to the printer and turn on the printer. 

Plug the USB connector of the cable into the computer. 

Select Start | Control Panel | Printers and Other Hardware | Add a Printer.

In the "Welcome to the Add Printer Wizard" window, clicked Next. 

Select "Local printer attached to this computer" and clicked Next. 

Select "USB001 (Virtual printer port for USB)" and clicked Next. 

Selected "Your Printer Type" and "Keep existing driver (recommended)". 

Changed the name to "Your Printer Type(USB)". 

It should then successfully print a test page!

Test printing from Notepad and/or WordPad.

There is no association with LPT2.
